Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 11, 2026

1. Overview

This Website is operated by U1 Software LLC ("U1", "we", "us", "our") and provides information about our services for Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform. We develop and provide Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse applications distributed through Microsoft AppSource (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information our Services and website access or collect, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have regarding it. This Policy applies to all our current and future applications distributed via AppSource, unless a specific application states otherwise in its own listing. This Privacy Policy applies specifically to U1 Services and is separate and distinct from our Terms of Use.

2. Who does this Policy apply to?

This Policy applies to: (a) administrators and users within organizations that install and use our Services inside their own Microsoft 365 / Power Platform / Dataverse environment, and (b) visitors to our website, www.u1.software. It does not apply to information processed solely by Microsoft as the underlying platform provider, which is governed by Microsoft's own privacy statement.

3. What type of information do we collect?

Depending on the specific Service, we may access or collect:

  • Application/environment data — configuration and metadata within your own Dataverse / Power Platform environment that is necessary for a Service to function. For example, Security Comparison accesses security team names and membership, security role names and assignments, and basic user profile fields (such as name and email) needed to display comparison results.

  • Contact information you provide directly — such as through our website contact form, a demo request, or support email (name, email address, company name, and the content of your message).

  • Website usage data — basic technical data collected automatically by our website hosting infrastructure when you visit www.u1.software (for example, standard server access logs); see Section 6 regarding cookies specifically.

4. How and when we collect Your information?

We access application/environment data described above only at the moment a Service executes inside your own environment, using your organization's existing Microsoft 365 authentication and permissions — we do not separately log in to or access your environment outside of that context. We collect contact information only when you voluntarily submit it to us. We collect website usage data automatically when you browse our website.

5. How we use Your information?

Application/environment data is used exclusively to deliver the specific in-application functionality you use — for example, generating a real-time comparison view in Security Comparison — and is not used for any other purpose. Contact information is used to respond to inquiries, provide support, and, where you have opted in, to send product updates. Website usage data is used to operate, secure, and improve our website.

6. What are Cookies and how do we collect and use them?

Our Services (applications) do not use cookies. They operate within the Microsoft Power Platform / Dataverse environment rather than within a browser session tied to our website, so no cookie technology is involved in their operation.

Our website makes use of cookies — small pieces of data that a site can place on your device to recognize you on return visits and improve your browsing experience. Most browsers let you configure a warning that appears before a cookie is accepted, giving you the choice to decline it if you prefer.

7. Where is Your Personal Information stored?

Application/environment data our Services access remains stored within your own organization's Microsoft Dataverse / Power Platform tenant at all times; we do not copy, replicate, or transfer it to our own infrastructure.

U1 does not currently operate a database, CRM, or other storage system that retains personal information submitted through our website. Inquiries sent via our contact form or by email arrive directly in our team's mailbox and are not copied into any separate storage system.

8. Disclosure of Your information

We do not sell personal information. Application/environment data described in Section 3 is never disclosed to any third party, because it never leaves your own tenant. Contact information you send us is not disclosed to third parties except our email service provider, which handles message delivery on our behalf, or where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we do hold — primarily website and contact data — including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and limiting access to authorized personnel. Because application/environment data always remains within your own tenant, its security is primarily governed by your organization's own Microsoft 365 / Power Platform security configuration and permissions.

10. How long we keep Personal Information

We do not retain application/environment data at all, since it is never stored outside your tenant and no copy persists after a Service session ends. Since we do not operate a separate storage system for website inquiries, contact information you send us is kept only within our email mailbox, for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry or maintain communication with you, and is deleted when no longer needed.

11. Your Rights and Responsibilities

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, in line with applicable law, including the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection" and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For data processed by our Services within your own tenant, please contact your organization's own Microsoft 365 / Power Platform administrator, as U1 does not control or store that data. For contact information you have provided to us directly, you may exercise these rights by writing to us at the address in Section 15.

12. What this Policy does not cover

This Policy does not cover: information processed by Microsoft as the underlying platform or hosting provider (see Microsoft's own privacy statement); third-party websites or services linked from our website or Services; or information handled entirely within your own organization's systems and internal policies.

13. Usage of Personal Information for other purposes

We do not use the information we collect for purposes incompatible with those described in this Policy. We will not use application/environment data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the specific Service functionality. If we wish to use contact information for a new purpose not described here, we will notify you and, where required by law, seek your consent first.

14. How do we update this Policy?

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Services, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy indicates the latest revision. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as a notice on our website.

15. How to contact Us?
